APPLYING MINK LASHES

Bava Beauty understands that as a women on the go, sometimes you just need to pop on a cute pair of mink lashes and head out the door. With all the hectic things you have to accomplish in a day; applying lashes should be the least of your worries. However if you are someone who struggles with putting on lashes then here are a few easy tips.

Step 1

All lashes are not created equally. Meaning that every lash will not fit your eye shape perfectly. Some lash bands are longer than others, which is why we recommend that you measure your mink lash on your eye before applying adhesive. If the lashes are too long trim the end that goes on your outer eye or outer V area until it fits perfectly across your eye.

Step 2

The adhesive is usually where it gets a little tricky, but we have two different techniques that can help you apply mink lashes like a pro. The first technique is to apply the glue directly on the lash band. Depending on the type of glue you use you may need to use the end of a small makeup brush to apply the adhesive to the band. If your lash adhesive is more watery than you will need to let it get tacky. While the glue sits maybe work on putting makeup on another area of your beautiful face or look at yourself in the mirror and shake that lash like a salt shaker. If your glue has a natural stickiness to it then you won't have to wait as long you can proceed to step 3. The second technique would be to apply the adhesive directly along your natural lash line instead of the lash band. The same rules would apply here as well as you need to make sure the glue is tacky before applying the mink lash.

Step 3

Now that your glue is tacky it is time to apply your mink lashes. Use tweezers or your fingers to bring the lash as close to your lash line as possible. Try to get the middle of the lash band to meet the middle of your eyelid and once it sticks then proceed to secure the ends of the lash band. And since your glue was tacky before you applied it your lashes will stay in one place instead of coming along for the ride.

Step 4 (Optional)

Some people are lucky enough to pop on a lash and keep going, but a lot of us may need to do a little more to blend the lash in effortlessly. Once your lash is on you may need to use a lash curler to further help push your natural lashes into the mink lashes to give them a more defined curl and natural look. We also recommend that you apply a fresh coat of mascara on to your lashes and mink lashes. A great tip would be to apply mascara while your finger is behind the lash as this will help bond the mink lashes to yours. For extra blendzation (yea we made that up) apply your favorite eyeliner and wing it out if you like.
